At the Mirraloke Learning Community, a group of students explore their biology topic on the comparative study of microscopic structures in flowering and non-flowering plants through hands-on observation. The students collect specimens of moss, lichen, and fungi and examine them under a microscope. They carefully observe, sketch and record their findings, thus developing a deeper understanding through direct engagement with the natural world. The activity is conducted under the guidance of Dr. Saikat Kumar Basu, an eminent agricultural scientist, whose expertise help the students connect their text book learning with practical scientific exploration.
