On 23rd February 2026, the Aspiration Group of Mirraloke visited the Birla Industrial & Technological Museum in Kolkata. The visit was not merely a recreational outing, but an enriching academic experience beyond the four walls of the classroom.
During their tour, the students explored the mock-up coal mine and interacted with the guide to understand the process of coal mining. They attended engaging demonstrations on various laws of physics, explored the principles of optics, and observed visual representations of mathematical concepts. The museum galleries also offered insights into evolution, the modern age of transportation, the ocean world and its impact on human life, electricity and its applications, as well as the structure of the Earth and its atmosphere. One of the highlights of the visit was the opportunity for hands-on learning, as the students actively interacted with models and live demonstrations — one of the museum’s most valuable features. Overall, it was a day filled with diverse and meaningful learning experiences.
