The children of the Aspiraton Group, Mirraloke, visited the Indian Museum, Kolkata, on 30th October (2024) to experience history firsthand, complementing their ongoing history lessons. Accompanied by their guides, the students explored selected galleries that aligned with their syllabus, enriching their understanding of ancient civilizations, art, and cultural heritage covering the Archaeology section, where the exhibits provided a real-world connection to their study of ancient Indian history, sparking curiosity and enhancing their appreciation for the complexity of early Indian societies; the Buddhist art and sculptures gallery, helping them understand the teachings and impact of Buddhism, a topic from their curriculum; the Coins and Inscriptions gallery, providing a unique view into the economic and administrative systems of historical India and the Egypt gallery for a glimpse into the era of pharaohs. Overall, the museum visit brought history to life, creating an engaging, memorable experience that deepened the students’ knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject.
