Mirraloke in its attempt to reach out to teachers and primary schools in North Bengal, participated in organising and conducting a two-day long workshop, held on 15th & 16th June (2024) in Siliguri (venue Sri Aurobindo Society Hall) with co-organisers Rupantor (another autonomous unit of Sri Aurobindo Sikshadhara Trust like Mirraloke) and Shri Kabyick Ganguly (Principal, Sishu Malancha School, Siliguri). The workshop sessions were conducted by Shri Partha Sarathi Bose and his team of Resource Persons (Smt. Sudarshana Banerjee & Smt. Rupan Kumar) and covered main aspects like how to make lessons interesting and sensory alertness for attention, the workshop being based on Sri Aurobindo & The Mother’s thoughts on education. Thirteen interested primary schools with their teachers and principals participated. They were asked to begin implementing thoughts presented and discussion during the sessions. It was also decided to keep in close touch with the interested teachers for subsequent clarifications and sharing of thoughts and ideas, thereby developing a vibrant group of teachers and school heads who would implement these thoughts.
